In 1910 a paddle steamer called the Emeraude was offering unforgettable cruises in Halong Bay for visitors to what was then French Indochina. The Emeraude Cruise was part of a flotilla owned by the Roque family who had left Bordeaux in 1858 in search of adventure and fortune. Over a period of more than 50 years they found both. After several ups and downs including successful trading and timber businesses, near bankruptcy and being taken hostage by pirates, the Roque brothers built Emeraude, Perle, Saphir, Rubis and Onyx to ferry passengers and freight along the waterways of Indochina and cruise on magnificent Halong Bay. DAY 01 : HANOI - HALONG BAY - EMERAUDE CRUISE (L, D)

08:00: Get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi, then transferred to Halong Bay with 15 minute break en route.

11:30: Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.

12:15: Register/Check-in at Emeraude Café

12:20: Start cruising through Halong Bay.

12:45: Lunch time - Enjoy Vietnamese & International food served for your lunch.

13:30: Take your time to enjoy the amazing beauty of Halong Bay

14:30: Join a guided shore excursion to Sung Sot Grotto

15:30: Continue cruising through Halong Bay. Crepe Station is available on the sundeck.

16:30: Take part in a variety of interesting activities: visiting Vung Vieng floating Village, Kayaking and/ or Swimming.
